I've had a look through the lists of allowable veg and those to avoid, but I can't see babycorn on either?? I know we can't have sweetcorn, but since we can't have peas, but can have mange tout, I thought they might be alright?
I'm just looking for some different veg to put in my stir fries, so I'm not eating the same things over and over. Any other suggestions would be great!

No im afraid, its still corn, just a smaller variety! Mangetout is different from peas.
In my stir fry, i add mangetout, pak choi, spring onions, mushrooms, stemmed brocolli etc Also you could beat an egg and add that at the end to make a "foo yung" type dish.
I season chicken with cajun and have that with stirfry for a spicy kick.
I thought that was probably the case, but it was worth a try! Ah, you have the answer for everything tho! Thanks
I like the sound of the "foo yung" - will defs be giving that a go. On to week 5 and still going strong. Just need to keep mixing things up every now and then!
Thanks again.
Yeh i was like that! Did you get the recipes i had? I can email some if you want me to? I made the CS cottage pie last night, but i add my own touches to it, like mini mushrooms, sliced carrot etc...it's all about making it work for you.
I also made roasted veg on tuesday for valentines, to have something different, i just googled low carb veggies and i popped it all in a tray with olive oil and garlic and stuck in the oven - FAB! We just have grilled lamb chops with it.
I have a dish i do also, a fillet of white fish in foil, inside with the fish, add chopped chilli, garlic, pak choi, stem brocolli, ginger, squeeze of lemon, soy sauce (and what ever else you wanna add) then fold the foil like a parcel and pop in the steamer for 20 mins! YUMMMM! I serve that with stir fry or steamed veggies.
Someone posted on FB crustless quiche, which is meant to be nice, you could have that with salad?
Yeah, I got the recipies from you a couple of weeks ago. They're really good, have tried a few out and they were really tasty. Did the aubergine bake last night, which is something I've hardly eaten before. I think it's really important not to get too stuck in rut. Plus I'm quite enjoying being a bit more experimental in the kitchen.
Thanks for all the ideas too. I used to really love roast veg, but I assummed it would be too much oil while I'm on CS. How much do you use? Will have to get back on that for defs! Even if it's just as a treat, every now and then.
I just use a drizzle and just mix all the veggies up in a bowl so they are all coated.
Hi haylzc5,
Could you e-mail me those recipies if you could. This is my first week and I'd like to give some of them a try.
Thanks
