I lost 8lb last week, was so chuffed!

This week, kept to it again only having a small ice cream scoop of mash, that was the only difference, and this week I have gained 5lb :-(

PLEASE help!

Ok well if you are due on, your body holds and retains water, i for example gain 2lb during my TOTM and as soon as i finish, it drops straight off.

And naughty you for having mash...it's a complex carb so the body takes longer to burn it off, also hindering all your hard work and weight loss...naughty!! :)

I am really concerned about a slip up i had yesterday. I was with a school group yesterday, had to go to Mcdonalds, had ordered a chicken salad but there was a mix up and got a chicken wrap and medium fries. Because i was hungry and because a little bit of me wanted to see if I could do this and maintain my weight i ate it. That was at 2 o clock. i skipped my 2nd shake of the day, drank loads of water and went for a 2 mile walk. Result : up a pound this morning. I know I shouldn't have done it but I feel now that to keep off the 5 lbs i lost in Week One I will not be able to ever eat anything outside of the programme. I am worried that when we go on our week holiday in a few weeks that I will have 2 choices ~ very restricted diet or eat "normally" and put it all back on.

Have you had a look at the maintenance part of the diet in the CS programme guide?

It talks you through reintroducing carbs into your diet, which types of carbs to go for, their GI value etc.

Just don't go mad when you are on holiday, eat sensibly (says the one going to two parties this weekend) and get straight back on the diet when you come back.

Just remember potatoes have a high GI and as chips are also high in fat and salt - all contributers to putting on weight.

Good luck and have fun on your holiday.

You can eat normally, but think about how you can make your favourite foods healthier, For example, wholemeal pitta base, tomoatoe puree and veg, no cheese, and theres a healthier pizza.

You will also find its tastier and cheaper, and probably not much longer than waiting for a takeaway. I have just started the plan today, however, when i finish it, i plan to make my own versions of takeaway food when i get the cravings, rather than being lazy as i have before.

Good luck
