Help with motivation, second time to do the diet

Hi I was on celebrity slim for 4 weeks lost over stone and took a break and put it all back on again. Have no motivation to keep to the diet this time, cheating with extra items. any motivationall tips??

how about take a photo each week.......and pin them to the fridge............you will see ur weight loss before ur eyes and it will help motivate u to be good

I found a pair of jeans that were to small helped  hanging on the wardrobe for motivation & trying them on every few weeks helped and lots of walking x

thanks for the advice. its so disheartening to have put so much on since last time.

 

But I've got a party to go to in 10 weeks and would like to lose at least a stone. So I will definately try both. thanks xx

Amy, the plan is meant to change your eating habits as well. So you shouldn't put the weight back on, do you feel you went back to your old habits? That's my main concern for myself, as soon as I stop will I drift back to my old ways.

What was the reason behind taking a break? Had you got got your goal weight or just got fed up?

I took a break after i was really stressed had a chinese and then after that I was like well im going away in two weeks, i leave it till i come back and ive been back nearly 3 weeks and only just started again. think i missed carbs too much was constantly thinking about rice, bread, pasta and esp potatoes! I deffo missed the chocolate as well. once i broke the diet i ate so much carbs and treats!!

 

Its really hard for me but im determined to do it and im very overweight and need to for my health sake. But I felt better 4 weeks into the diet last time, hoping I can get there again, the first week was hard last time as well for me. The tiredness definately gets me.

That's positive Amy, concentrate on how it made you feel last time. I am into my 4th week now and do feel good for it but really struggle at the weekends. I read on another thread a lady has a fat sat and eats whatever she wants and really sticks to it the rest of the time, could that work for you? That way you won't feel so deprived and want to cheat?

Hi Amy

If you are going to "cheat" only do it on something that is really worth it. I had a fish supper from the chippy a while back and it was a real dissapointment I just felt blahh afterwards and wondered why I had done it.

I find that if I feel the need for something chocolaty I chop up a CS snack bar into small chunks to eat.  This tends to satisfy the craving.

Also I have set myself mini goals and when I reach them I am going to have a treat.

louisal I tried that a few times, its just so hard not to cheat but im gonna make a proper go of it this time. sick of being so unfit and unhealthy. but thanks will try the cs snack bar. I have tried two kinds and not really that keen. what one do you eat?

I think she basically eats whatever she likes on a saturday, no shakes just normal food etc and is still loosing weight. I might try it in a few weeks once I lose the momentum. Just pick a day and have a break but stick very rigidly the rest of the time.
