Hey everyone... having one of those days where I just want to eat chocolate, ice cream, sugar, chocolate and more chocolate! Does anyone get that? I am not hungry just want to eat sugarrrrr... if so, what do you do to distract yourself?

Although to be honest, just going through the forums has made me feel better... but I still want it.

Ugh... just going to keep going... I wish I could say I found this easy like some others but I don't...

yes i have those days, chocolate philly in the micro for 20 seconds with strawberries always do the trick, as do chocolate and caramel shape delights!!

good luck and hope the cravings pass!!

I've tried a couple of pistachios or baked/grilled cherry tomatoes (really sweet) Takes the edge off. Mullerlight yoghurts help me too.Today has been the worst but I'm reminding myself that it means the diet is working as my body myst be low on carbs. That helps. Also every time I think of sweet things I go and get a drink, which distracts me, helps keep my water intake going and hopefully will be habit forming! Plus I saved my Rocky Road bar until now and all sweet cravings have gone :)

I read a really interesting book a few years ago about how addicted we are to sugars etc, if we acknowledge that we do not need it and it is simply a craving then we can approach things differently. I gave up smoking years ago, never taken drugs, but when i crave something full of sugar, i try to think of it as if it were a cigarette or a line of drugs, something I would just not have, would not want to be addicted to. This is fab In theory, and has helped many times before, I hope it can help me while on CS too.

Woooo! yay for jelly! So going to get me some tomorrow... I always used to find that used to help a lot on other diets... and it's only like 10cals per serve or something ridiculous like that... phew!

Jo, yeah I think sugar is definitely an addiction, you get the same withdrawal symptoms if you stop which is why I think substitution is very important, if you can substitute the high fat, high sugar with lower fat, lower sugar, healthy options then it's a win :)

btw Ang, how much choc philly would you have with your strawberries and do you have it often? have been reading so much about people using choc philly, definitely going to have to try it out!! :)

I find chewing gum is great for those hunger pains and they will also cover up the bad breath when the fat is being broken down n da body
