I'm sure many people have said this before but this is it, I'm sick of being overweight and always saying I'll start dieting tomorrow. I am going to be really strict with myself and follow CS to the letter. I tried doing it a few months ago but wasn't very strict and sure I didn't lose a thing as was eating chocolate and sweets and my snacks were high carb.
I'm 12-6 today and really need to lose about 3 stone. But small steps so initially I'd like to lose 1 stone as my first target milestone!
I'm going to try and post here regularly to keep myself motivated.

Not sure if you have a diet buddy? I would like one and have just had my first weigh in this morning and i lost 6 lbs!
Soo pleased with myself but know i will need help and motivation along the way as i have 3.5 stone to loose at least.

He, I'd love a diet buddy thx :) well done on your loss this week, 6lbs is great, nearly half a stone already! This is my second day and I'm doing well so far! I had a shake at around 10am then a big tuna salad at 1 and I'm going to have another shake at about 3.30 and then some salmon and veg for dinner. My salad at lunch was very big but really just lettuce, tomato and tuna so I hope thats ok? I could try and go til dinner and have a shake then but not sure if I can make it that long without starving!
I feel great so far though and drinking loads of water. I can't wait to fit into my clothes again as everything is soo tight!
Ok so I did very well on Thursday and just had a shake for dinner since I'd had such a big salad at lunch :) I woke up yesterday and was in a terrible mood all day :( But feel better today. I checked and the ketostix showed the trace colour this morning, I hope that means I'm losing weight? Today is going well had a big salad again for lunch so will have to have a shake for dinner again. I bought a box of rocky road yesterday too and had one for my afternoon snack. They are gorgeous!
I'm doing really well on limiting my tea too and just having one first thing and then a black coffee later in the day. I was drinking about 6 or 7 tea with milk so I'm proud that I can abstain! And I'm drinking about a litre and a half of water which is a lot for me!

Hi slim, you are a few days ahead of me. I started this on Friday. I am finding it ok so far. I have my first goal as two stone, but really 2.5 would be fantastic. I too am sick of being tubby. I tried on a pair of shorts this morning, and they won't close by over an inch, well come hell or high water I will fit those bloody shorts, and even if it is winter, I will wear them, ha ha. Drinking all the water , I put a slice of lemon in the glass, and keep filling it as the day goes by.

I had a shake for breakfast, 30 g cheese for a snack and just made myself a tomatoe and basil soup. OMG it was awfull tastes as if all the fat in it has gone off. I have tried all the other soups and like the muligatawny best, the chicken then the beef, and then the veg one but the tomatoe one?????????????????????
Barbque chicken and salad tonight but today for some reason i am craving carbs. Wanted toast and then bread with the soup I know they are all swear words!!!!
Where did you get your ketosix and how do they work?
Have you done this plan before just the last time when it didnt work cause of the chocolate? I didnt know we were to stay off teas and coffee or are they limited.
Think its a good idea to display what you have had all day on here its visible for all to see! No hiding!!
Biddypat i can see you in your shorts! But there is no way i am fitting into mine this holiday i can get them any where near closing not even if i lye on the bead and breath in and also use a coat hanger to heave them up.
I have booked my holidays though and we fly off in 9 weeks and three days! sooo excited. How much do you think i can loose in that time. I am used to plan that you loose 1.5 lbs a week?
Hi biddypat, yes loads of water is definetly a really vital part of this diet so good idea on the lemon! I have to go to the loo every 10 minutes today though as drinking so much!
I really can't wait to fit into some of my old clothes, its been way too long and I have loads of smaller clothes!
D48 the ketostix i just got in my local pharmacy. They had to go looking for them in the back and it took ages so I don't think they're a big seller! You can also get them on amazon I think. Its nice to check if you're in ketosis but I would only use them first thing in the morning as don't think there reliable the rest of the day.
Yes I'm not a big fan of the soups either so I'll be sticking with the shakes and bars! 9 weeks is loads of time, if you stick with the diet you could be down loads by then! I' say 2 or 3lbs on average a week would be possible with this diet?
Tea and coffee are limited to 3 a day I think?? But without milk probably more is fine.
I made spag bol for dinner and had a smal bowl of the mince and veg followed by an actimel vanilla yum!
Actimel Vanilla? is tht a drink or a youghurt? are we allowed those?
Where are you getting your information from? I have a wee pink book diary thing and a guide book plan.
Did you have the spag bol over the veg or with the swear word pasta? What do you do if your not in ketosis?
I cant do chocolate i was hypnotised 10 years ago and cant eat smell or it so most of the bars have it on i think?

oops sorry I meant activia vanilla flavour! Its 0% fat and under the 10gms per 100gms carb that we are allowed :) Yes I have the pink book too! And no didn't have the pasta, gave that to the kids :) I was meant to have a shake as had a salad for lunch which I bought in marks and it had a small bit of pasta in it (eek!) so I said I'd just have a shake for dinner but couldn't resist the mince. Anyway so my dinner was mince and mushrooms, carrots, sweet peppers and tomatoes so I think I should be ok! I only had a smal bowl too and then the yogurt.
But after I got the kids to bed I had 2 tablespoons of peanut butter and a slice of chicken from the fridge while waiting for the kettle to boil! And I had tea with milk. But all in all I think I'm doing well. I'm standing on the scales all the time though and its not moving yet so I need to stop checking and wait til wednesday!
I suppose if I wasn't in ketosis it means I'm eating too many carbs so would need to cut back on them? Sorry you found today hard :( Tomorrow will hopefully be a great day for both of us! Lucky you on the chocolate I can't get enough of the stuff unfortunately!
I think its really important to have your healthy snacks whatever they may be as otherwise you get hungry and could fall off the wagon. And keep drinking water whenever you think of it!
